Dear Sister & Fellow Leader,

Ministry is a privilege, but navigating leadership as a woman is challenging on a number of fronts. We pour out, often more than we are poured into. We carry so much so close to our hearts that we can rarely and safely unburden. We are often the least supported . . . yet, are often judged the most harshly. Not long ago, I polled my social media and asked, “What was the area of your greatest mentoring need?” I presented three options.

Many were interested in an intensive on how to take a book from concept to market. As a New York Times bestselling author who has sold nearly two million books, I love sharing what I have learned along the way.

Others hoped for an intensive on how to craft a message. As someone who has had the honor of ministering for more than three decades in countless nations and made almost as many mistakes—I love sharing what I learned the hard way with you!

But, the overwhelming majority responded to the last prompt. They wanted to learn how to thrive in the beautiful and messy tension of ministry, motherhood, and marriage. And, in all honesty, this threefold cord is the hardest one to keep from unraveling. Writing your life well will always be more challenging than writing a book or even a message.

John and I have been married for thirty-nine years this fall, and we have raised four sons who are all quite possibly better humans than ourselves. We’ve done ministry together, which I am convinced is harder than going it alone. But, as you know, alone is not always the best posture to minister from. And, thus, this invitation.

I want to invite you to an intimate, in-person gathering to be hosted in my home. As a wife, a mother, and a minister, my desire is to create a safe space to pour into you and offer mentoring in the areas of marriage, motherhood, and ministry.
